[ FAQ's ]

  1. In what platforms is the Safety Accountability For Employees (SAFE) system available?
    - SAFE is available on 2 platforms.
    - Desktop: The desktop version of SAFE is written in Microsoft Access version.
    - Web: Available via subscription or a fully licensed version.
    - Subscription version of the web application - The application is hosted, run and supported by EHS Management Solutions.
Fully licensed version of the web application installed on your servers.
  2. What is the pricing structure for SAFE?
    - Desktop: priced on a per license basis. A discounted price is available for purchases of 5 or more licenses.
    - Web Subscription: There is a one time set up cost for loading the application with all of the data and requirements for your company. On-going monthly costs are determined based on whether EHS performs the data entry or if the subscribing company does the data entry. Discounts are offered for organizations with more than 1000 subscribing employees.
Fully Licensed: Please contact us for a quote.
  3. Are there limitations to the desktop version of SAFE?
The desktop version is designed to support 50 – 1000 employees per seat. While it will support more employees, we suggest that no more than 1000 employees be tracked with one seat. Performance is lost when more employees are tracked.
MS Access works well on a desktop or a local area network (LAN) but does not work on a wide area network (WAN).
  4. Data Entry
The amount of data entry required is dependant on how many items are tracked. When purchasing the subscription service, for an additional fee, EHS will perform the data entry for you!
  5. Reports
A full suite of reports is included within SAFE, including various reports for OSHA.
  6. Customization
SAFE is fully customizable. Because we own all rights to the software, we can modify it to meet customer requirements. Customization costs are performed at an agreed upon hourly rate.
  7. What are the system requirements for the program?
The desktop version is built for a Windows based platform. Screen resolution needs to be at least 800 X 600. The web version requires internet connectivity and can be viewed with any typical web browser.
  8. Has SAFE been used by Canadian or European companies?
It has not been used outside the US. The concept is being rolled out to a Canadian company in early 2007. Obviously the reporting requirements for other countries may vary. Reports are the easiest item to create as long as the data is already captured. If different data is required, it certainly can be added.
